“Glacier Lily” yellow mountain flower painting

A bright yellow glacier lily is enlarged and zoomed in for a dynamic composition. This painting by Allison Cosmos lets us appreciate the form and shape of the glacier lily bloom. Popping off the rich graphite charcoal gray background, the yellow flower makes an eye catching statement. Glacier lilies are also known as the “avalanche lily” or “dogtooth fawn lily”. The bulbs are a favorite snack of the grizzly bear.
