The hand painted swirling marbled endpaper background designs were the first step in painting these art works. The artist fell in love with the marbling paper process on her trip to Italy years ago. The constellations are a modern interpretation of Sidney Hall’s constellations from the 1800″s. The gold leaf stars are just the icing on the cake!
